I wanted to include in here a little shoutout to all my moms that I couldnt see in the computer on Sunday. But even though I did the my Mom on Sunday, you`re included in this too. I love you guys! I wouldn`t be here if it weren`t for your constant support over the years, and for some of you, over my whole life! I want a lot of my moms that read this to know that you are included too, even if you dont think you had a lot of influence on me. The point is, every tiny act and good example helps! We`re in a constant battle to get better, and pretty much all the moms in the world make up for all the damage us men do, so we owe a lot to you guys! Thank you! Love you all.
This week we had a Zone Conference, and the mission is becoming a lot more obedient now and we are having a lot more baptisms. So yeah things are going super well. We`re still lookin for some new people to teach, but we have a couple we`re working with, so we`ll see how all this goes.
Other than that, it was Mothers Day. So here`s a picture of an unplanned Family Home Evening we had last night when our lessons fell through. Yesterday there was a game between Argentinas two biggest soccer teams so it was kinda hard to get people to want to listen to us, but it turned out alright.
Well, this Wednesday is my birthday. Ill be 20. But I cant send pictures now so all the things im gunna tell you and the pictures of the birthday will be there next week.
On Wednesday the 25 we had a worldwide misionary conference, and they rearranged the schedule a little bit, our mission hasnt changed yet because we have a couple options, but our Mission President will let us know when he decides, I`ll get into more detail when I know what my missions gunna go with.
Then on Friday, which was a year from when I entered into the MTC (but imma celebrate from the day i landed in argentina), I had intercambios with Elder Shill (he was my ZL in Banfield, so I know him pretty well) and did my first baptismal interview! It was a little kid of 15 years named Thomas who knew everything and was super prepped and was baptized Saturday! That was an amazing experience. That night we had family home evening with the ward mission leader there and his family, and we had a super good time, theyre all hilarious! And his mission president lives near the Provo MTC so he`s gunna see if he knows my Granps!
We`ve been teaching a young family recently that are Christians and theyre called Cristian and Gloria, they`re super awesome, they just need to come to church and get baptized! But theyre married which is pretty much a miracle here! Haha we`re very excited for them.
This next Monday is transfers, so I might write at a weird time, and we dont know whats gunna happen with the Trio, but its pretty safe that I`ll stay here. Let you know though!
Love you all! Enjoy life, its pretty freakin dope! Next week I`ll probably get some good pics goin
Well, some poeple have been gettin quite the kick out of Elder Funk and Elder Gibson being companions, usually only those special Argentines who know a bit about American music. Including this one guy we found who makes tiny metal sculptures and speaks and understands English. It was weird but super funny cuz he knows cusswords too.
Anyway yeah we´ve been contacting a ton, meaning we just meet people and testify and invite then to act. We´ve found a couple new people to teach and we´re excited about that.
We´ve been working super hard and I love it. I really feel like if we keep up the exact obedience and hard work we will see miracles, in our lives and in the lives of those we teach. Our area has a lot of opportunity and we´re excited about it.
Here are a couple pictures Elder Funk took of me, just normal missionary life here. Its still weird having a companion that understands English almost perfectly. I say almost because we´ve both been talking Spanish for a while now and our English is slowly slipping away.
Not much to report on this week, but the Hermana Shepard, who was in Las Flores during my training, got transferred into our ward, so were in the same ward again! Shes awesome and its cool to see how we both have progressed in our language and work ethic.
I love you all and I hope youre all enjoying life, even though its super tiring at times! Have a great week!
Well, we had a District Activity and we ate crappy hot dogs with guacamole and stuff, so it was awesome! We played pool too, which was super cool. I did alright, except i lost for us at the end.
Isidoro has a hard time believing that Jesus is the Christ, but he has a firm belief in God and so we´re working with him.
Not much time, hence the name ´Short´ but I love you all and I invite you to have a good time this week even if normally it would be a terrible one!
Oh also we made mexican-ish food for the 15th of September and cuz i think i finished 6 months in the field.
